Summary

In California, there is a debate about a bill which would require all public-shcool students to take climate class. Therefore, the future science textbooks might be updated climate change. The reason they want to add climate class into the science syllabus is that they want kids to know and understand about climate change, which is a phenomenon of global importance. The sate Senate agreed the bill, however, Gov. Arnold Schawrzenegger is till considering about this bill and Other Republicans in the Capito are not happy with this plan, some worry the bill may not have a good effect on students like propagandizing about environment into classes.

My opinion

I think this is a good idea to teach climate and the change of climate for students not only in public-school but also in private-school because of its reality and practicably. For example if you have knowlegde about weather, you can prevent from bad situation. In my country, we don't have enough eqiupment and technology for students to learn about climate and what it is changing, we just study a non-updated information about weather. Hopefully, someday we would have this subject in Vietnamese schools.
